The architecture thoughtfully acknowledges the region’s agricultural heritage while embracing the clean lines and modern sensibilities of contemporary design.
The material palette draws inspiration from the area’s farming history, incorporating elements such as board and batten siding, large timber-style balcony supports, block masonry foundations, and natural cedar cladding – evoking the character of farm structures established during the late 1800s colonial settlement period.
Adding a fresh, modern layer to this traditional foundation, the design introduces bold, vibrant colours that contrast the natural Okanagan
landscape and respond to the region’s warm, luminous daylight.
