The Merrit Railyard Mall is a prominent commercial centre for the City of Merritt.  It has a distinctive design theme which reflects the rich rail history of the region and includes an infill government service building.

 Massing and choice of materials such as brick and corrugated metal continue the railyard theme.  One of the buildings refers to a coal storage building and the other is reminiscent of a rail passenger station.
