Area Structure Plan
Kelowna, BC
Adopted by the City of Kelowna, the Kirschner Mountain Area Structure Plan includes 133 hectares (330 acres) of forrested mountain terrain in the Black Mountain area of Kelowna. The site design accounts for the hillside topography to integrate 700 residential units into the natural setting while also taking advantage of stunning views of Kelowna and Lake Okanagan. Key design features include minimizing standard road widths to reduce cut/fill impacts, therefore reducing the environmental and visual impact of the new settlement pattern.
