Comprehensive Development Zone
West Kelowna, BC
This master planned, mixed- use community is centered by a commercial and residential precinct. The plan projects approximately 1400 residential units, including townhomes, condominiums and single family homes, along with 1080m2 of commercial space for retail, service, and office use. Higher density uses are concentrated in the village centre, while lower density housing uses, such as townhomes and single family homes, are situated within walking distance to the centre.
Over 26% of the site is offered as park space, including a 13 hectare addition to Gellatly Heritage Park in the south. In addition to park space, a network of trails, multi-use pathways and sidewalks promote leisure and alternative transportation. In the northeast and southeast, a trail links to the District’s Power Creek trail alignment.
Situated on Gellatly Road, this project focuses development on a decommissioned gravel pit. The planned housing and commercial project will provide a link between residential neighbourhoods on Gellatly Road, while providing commercial and recreational amenities. Gellatly Village is also connected by a new trail to Westbank Centre.
