The building design for West Avenue is contemporary modern using high quality materials such as hardi-plank combined with stucco, cultured stone, cedar soffits and tile decks. Although the building design does not reflect certain local traditional concepts, the exterior materials combined with the architectural detailing reinforces a comfortable residential feel. In entering the 2008 Thompson Okanagan Housing Awards (Tommies), 446 West Ave was awarded three Silver Tommies for Best Low Rise Multi-Family, Best Exterior Feature (rooftop patios), Best Interior Feature (glass staircase in the penthouse) and also received a Gold Tommie for the Best Interior Feature (glass staircase-penthouse).
