1660 Water Street

Kelowna, B.C
Commercial

This 1250 square metre commercial building in downtown Kelowna, plays with a natural palette of materials, including extensive use of both brick and wood, showing a modern face to the street.  Timber slats to the main street facades of the building serve dual purposes in providing a both natural sunshade and privacy to the office spaces beyond.  This element also lights up like a lantern at night, washing filtered light on to the street.  A dramatic double height, fully glazed atrium provides entry to the building, while an integrated awning dances along the front, providing covered access.
